CS4IA

Bringing together educators, students, nonprofits, industry, and higher education to collaborate and coordinate efforts to provide high-quality computer science learning for all Iowans.

Why Computer Science Education?

As technology and computer science increasingly influence every facet of our lives, society, and industry, it is more important than ever for all students to develop a foundational understanding of computer science concepts. This knowledge will empower them to better comprehend how these systems function and their impact on the world around us.

According to the Brookings Institution, learning computer science has been linked to higher college enrollment, and improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Studying computer science and honing critical thinking and problem-solving skills will better equip students to effectively meet the evolving demands of the job market, while providing them with the opportunity to stay in the state.

You can help make this happen by advocating now!
